The White Stripes announce 20th anniversary re-release of "Get Behind Me Satan"

This is a big year for The White Stripes. They were recently announced as newly-minted members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Although, the odds of Meg White showing up for the induction fall just south of Pope Francis making an appearance.

2025 is also the 20th anniversary of the release of "Get Behind Me Satan," the duos penultimate album. For the occasion, a commemorative 20th anniversary vinyl is being released.

To the surprise of nobody, this vinyl release is being done through Third Man Records, Jack White's company. The two-LP set features a red vinyl with black smoke highlights and a clear vinyl with red-and-black smoke highlights. You know, The White Stripes' colors. Honestly? They look really cool. When the album was released in 2005 it was before the rebirth of vinyl as a viable medium, so "Get Behind Me Satan" did not get a vinyl release at that time (eventually one was tossed out there in 2015 for Record Store Day, but it wasn't as slick as this).

The 20th anniversary vinyls are being released June 27, but pre-ordering is already open.
