'Avengers: Doomsday' stars show support by assembing for a 'Thunderbolts*' watch party

Robert Downey Jr. (Victor Von Doom / Doctor Doom) just shared new photos with his Avengers: Doomsday co-stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Channing Tatum (Gambit), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (the Thing), Vanessa Kirby (the Invisible Woman), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Anthony Mackie (Captain America / Sam Wilson).

This comes after filming has officially begun for the next Avengers and to celebrate the release of Thunderbolts*, the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Duke, Downey, Rudd, Tatum, Liu, Hemsworth, and Mackie all had a movie night together to watch and support.

Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Lewis Pullman (Bob), David Harbour (the Red Guardian), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost) are all set to reprise their roles in Avengers: Doomsday.

The rest of the already announced cast includes Letitia Wright (Shuri / Black Panther), Tenoch Huerta Mejia (Namor), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres / Falcon), Joseph Quinn (the Human Torch), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic).

Moss-Bachrach, Kirby, Quinn, and Pascal make up the new Fantastic Four and will be seen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25.

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, set to be released in 2027, will both be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who are known for Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Pullman recently told ScreenRant that the knowledge of returning definitely changed how he viewed Bob's arc in Thunderbolts*, saying, "I'm really curious to see how. Obviously, he's such an intricate character because in many ways his biggest Achilles Heel is himself, so what does the future look like for a guy like that with that much power, but with also that kind of soft spot? It's a pretty big kind of weakness. But now we also know that he has this help with the Thunderbolts*. They have taken him under their wing, and maybe there's a future there, where there's some sort of ability to control it or some sort of safety net there."

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for May 2026. Thunderbolts* is now playing in theaters.
