Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson star in trailer for western revenge thriller 'The Unholy Trinity'

Roadside Attractions just dropped the official trailer for Richard Gray's The Unholy Trinity starring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson. The film is written by Lee Zachariah and produced by Carter Boehm, Kellie Lessard Brooks, Richard Gray, Jeanne Allgood Gaisford, Michele Gray, Colin Floom, and Cameron Lessard.

The Unholy Trinity promises to deliver an exciting blend of action, suspense, and western grit with an all-star ensemble ready to captivate audiences this summer. A tale of revenge, dark secrets, and buried treasures, the film is set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana.  It picks up in the moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, as he gives his estranged son, Henry, an impossible task: Murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit.  Intent on fulfilling his promise, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events traps him in town and leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove, the town’s upstanding new sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St Christopher.

Two of Brosnan's sons are also in the project with him, which he told Variety, saying, "I had my two sons with me, they are in the movie. If they want to be actors, I am not going to stop them. They know how difficult it is."

The rest of the cast includes Brandon Lessard, Veronica Ferres, Gianni Capaldi, Q'orianka Kilcher, Tim Daly, Ethan Peck, Katrina Bowden, and David Arquette.

"I tell my sons: ‘Work gets work.’ I’ve been a working actor all my life and I’ve managed to create a body of work that, I think, is entertaining and substantial. There are some wonderful jewels within it," Brosnan shared, before later adding that he loves westerns. "I grew up watching them as a boy. I’ve worked with many emerging directors: some of them knew what they were doing, others got lost along the way. Richie put his heart and soul into this."

Gray explained, "It’s a traditional western in many ways, but it’s also original. We have a former slave played by Samuel L. Jackson, coming back to find gold that was stolen from him. Pierce’s Gabriel is trying to put this revenge to bed, but the town is divided. They fought on different sides during the war, so there’s a lot of tension."

Saban Films and Roadside Attractions will release The Unholy Trinity in theaters nationwide on June 13.
