Tayshia Adams on split from Zac Clark: 'All I have to say is that I'm heartbroken'

Tayshia Adams has broken her public silence about her split from fiancé Zac Clark.

Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are co-hosting the current season of The Bachelorette starring Michelle Young, and Bristowe took a moment about midway through Monday night's (Dec. 6) "Men Tell All" episode to ask Adams why she wasn't wearing her engagement ring.

"All I have to say is that I'm heartbroken," Adams said while tearing up. "But we tried really hard. And I still love him very much. I'm not sure what the future holds. You know how it is. It's really tough."

After receiving a hug and words of encouragement from Bristowe, Adams had to leave the stage once new fan-favorite Rodney Mathews joined the couch to discuss his time with Young.

"We're gonna let Tayshia have a minute," Bristowe told the audience, as Adams emotionally walked off without saying anything.

People reported Nov. 22 that Adams and Clark had broken up, with Adams' representative confirming that they were "no longer a couple."

Adams was then a guest on Tuesday's (Dec. 7) episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and gave more insight into how she's doing, noting that the "Men Tell All" special was filmed the same day news broke that her relationship was over.

"I am definitely hanging in there," the 31-year-old told host Becca Kufrin. "That day was really tough for me because that's actually the day that the news kind of broke to everyone, so it was just very heavy. But I had a job to do at the same time, and so I'm really happy I was able to be surrounded by all of you guys and be supported by that. It doesn't make any of that easier."

"I really said all I have to say on that stage," she continued. "I don't really have anything to add to it just because I'm still going through it all. I spoke my piece, and one day, when I feel like I have more to say, I'm sure we can talk about it all."

Adams and Clark met during season 16 of The Bachelorette, which began airing in October 2020 with Clare Crawley as the lead. Once Crawley fell for and became engaged to her now-ex Dale Moss just four episodes in, Adams replaced her and ended up engaged to Clark in the season finale, airing Dec. 22, 2020.

Their last public appearance came in early November, as they completed the TCS New York City Marathon together. Clark has not publicly commented on the breakup.
