'Outer Banks' star Madelyn Cline says she is "so excited to go back one last time" to film season 5

With filming for the fifth and final season of Outer Banks about to start, star Madelyn Cline is feeling grateful and emotional. "I have so many feelings about it but mostly I just feel so grateful. We're so excited to go back one last time. I love yall. Thank you," she wrote on TikTok.

She then apologized to fans for waking up and choosing to "cut onions." The comment section was filled with love for the character of Sarah Cameron and the show, which the actress took the time to interact with.

She assured fans that the "Kook princess never dies," and added how she will be crying "all season." Additionally, Cline commented that she does not ship Rafe (Drew Starkey) and Kiara (Madison Bailey) together, and promised that Sarah will not lose her baby in the upcoming season.

The season four finale ended with a shocking and devastating character death as JJ Maybank, played by Rudy Pankow, was killed by his biological father. It left our Pogues out for revenge, seemingly setting up the plot for our last season.

The series first premiered back in 2020, and season 4 debuted in two parts last year. Along with Cline, who has been on OBX since season 1, Chase Stokes, Starkey, Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Carlacia Grant, and Austin North are all expected to reprise their roles.

The creators wrote a letter to viewers, sharing the news and concluding with, "We're putting Season Four behind us, and are turning to Season Five, in which we hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago. Season Five will be our last season, and we think it will be our best yet. We hope you'll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break."

Outer Banks is streaming on Netflix.
