Kim Kardashian West has officially hit billionaire status

Forbes unveiled its 35th Annual World's Billionaire List on Tuesday morning, and while Kanye West has an estimated worth of $1.8 billion through Adidas and Yeezy, his soon-to-be-ex-wife is a self-made billionaire on her own.

Yes, Kim Kardashian West has officially joined the billionaire's club.

"Forbes estimates that Kardashian West is now worth $1 billion, up from $780 million in October, thanks to two lucrative businesses—KKW Beauty and Skims—as well as cash from reality television and endorsement deals, and a number of smaller investments," wrote Madeline Berg, a Forbes staff writer.

The 40-year-old mogul and reality star launchedKKW Beauty in 2017, and per Berg, the first drop featuring 300,000 contour kits sold out in less than two hours. The company has since grown to produce body, eye and lip beauty products as well.

Skims, "a solutions-oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear and shapewear," followed in 2019. (Note: Martha Stewart is among the brand's biggest fans.) Kardashian West obviously isn't resting on any laurels, as she announced Tuesday afternoon that Skims will launch its first-ever pop-up for a limited time at The Grove Los Angeles:

Keeping Up With the Kardashians is currently airing its 20th and final season on E! The seminal reality series debuted in October 2007 and has grown to claim an unprecedented place in pop culture lore—birthing 11 spinoffs and chronicling the rise of America's most famous family.

But if you're wondering what Kardashian West might do with any time freed up by the absence of KUWTK in her schedule, there will not be any free time. The mother of four is still swamped, studying to become a lawyer.

"I have two years left," she said at the end of an interview with Vogue posted last month. "I have two years under my belt. I'm ramping it up now, so I have about six hours every day. I actually—I'm not doing an essay. I'm doing this interview instead, so I'm gonna have to get up really early tomorrow and write like a two-hour essay. I'm really hopeful in that. I'm working on a handful of cases."

Kardashian West continued to note the Spotify podcast she is working on with Lori Rothschild, which will focus on criminal justice reform and wrongful convictions. "Abolishing the death penalty is so high on my list," she said. Watch the full video below.
