Josh Hutcherson has joined the cast of Rachel Sennott's untitled HBO comedy series, which is currently scheduled to release this year. He will take over Miles Robbins' role from the pilot. According to Deadline, the character, who is one of the leads, "underwent changes during the writing process after the pilot had been picked up to series."
Sennott not only stars in the show but also serves as writer and executive producer. The rest of the cast includes Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, True Whitaker, Leighton Meester, and Quenlin Blackwell.
A codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them.
Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, and Lorene Scafaria serve as executive producers, with Scafaria directing the pilot as well.
"Rachel is as hilarious as she is charming," Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO and Max comedy programming, expressed. "With Lorene and Emma, she has captured the comedy and the beauty that happens when friendships collide with our best laid plans. We’re thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with this talented team and this exquisite cast."
"I’m so grateful to Amy and HBO for the opportunity to make this show and the wonderful team that has been a part of creating it," Sennott shared. "And I’m going to come up with a title soon I promise!"
Hutcherson is widely recognized for his role as Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and both Part 1 and Part 2 of Mockingjay, but has been in other films such as Bridge to Terabithia, Little Manhattan, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Beekeeper, and Five Nights at Freddy's. He will reprise his FNAF role in the sequel, which is scheduled to release in theaters on December 5.
