Not that far removed from her headline-grabbing performances as Coachella, Lady Gaga has taken things to a whole new level in terms of sheer immensity. As she continues to do shows in support of her newest album "Mayhem" (a palate cleanser after her weird Harley Quinn-inspired album), Gaga went down to Rio de Janeiro to perform at the Brazilian city's iconic Copacabana Beach.

It had been a bit since Gaga got the chance to go down to Brazil. Over a decade, in fact. A previously-scheduled concert appearance in 2017 was axed due to healthy issues for the singer and sometimes actress. In terms of making up for lost time, though, this was a robust, five-act set that borrowed heavily from her recent Coachella run.

"I’m so honored to be here to be with you tonight. My heart is full, I feel lucky, proud, and deeply grateful," Lady Gaga said to the assembled crowd in Rio. Speaking of said crowd, the assertion is that "over two million people" were there, but that sounds like classic attendance inflation. You get it at WrestleManias, and you get it at concerts where an actual headcount is essentially impossible. C'mon. Unless there are two million seats on Copacabana Beach and empirically you could see each and every one of them had a Brazilian Gaga fan planted in them, that's some "let's make this a moment" math.
Still, Gaga seemed to enjoy the experience, and however many people were there enjoyed the experience by and large, it would seem. One assumes she'll try not to wait another decade before coming back to Brazil.
