Rick Neuheisel Predicts Big Upset in College Football on Saturday

Week 13 of college football was filled with drama, uncertainty, and major upsets across the nation. And according to former collegiate head coach and current CBS Sports analyst Rick Neuheisel, Week 14 may not be much different.

On Tuesday night, during "Inside College Football," Neuheisel predicted a few potential upsets, but one in particular stood out—a game that could shake things up in the Big 12 conference, even amid the chaos of rivalry week.

Neuheisel set his sights on the showdown between the 9-2, No. 16-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils and their in-state rival, the 4-7 unranked Arizona Wildcats. Despite the Wildcats’ struggles this season, Neuheisel believes they will pull off the upset, taking down the Sun Devils in a surprising twist.

"I have mentioned the territorial cup, I have mentioned a boom. Give the Wildcats. Give me the Wildcats in a storm in Tucson." Neuheisel said.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook , the Arizona Wildcats, despite being at home, are 9.5-point underdogs against the red-hot Arizona State Sun Devils.

If Arizona were to pull off the upset, it would be a stunning turn of events, especially given the stakes. A loss for Arizona State would open the door for some chaos in the Big 12.

Currently leading the conference, a win for the Sun Devils would not only secure their spot in the Big 12 Championship Game but also keep their College Football Playoff hopes very much alive. The upset would send shockwaves through the conference and set the stage for a dramatic finish to the season.

A loss for Arizona State would essentially eliminate them from contention for the Big 12 Championship Game. In that scenario, the Sun Devils would need a series of upsets to occur — with teams like BYU, Colorado, and Iowa State potentially all suffering losses — just to have a shot at making it into the title game.
