Juventus were held to a goalless draw by Milan at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday evening, with Igor Tudor’s side once again left frustrated in front of goal.

The Bianconeri battled hard in a cagey contest but failed to find a breakthrough, extending their streak of low-scoring outings under the Croatian coach.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, with quotes via MilanNews, Tudor admitted it was a fair result but insisted his team are on the right path.

“It was the kind of match we expected – difficult, against a strong team,” he said. “We wanted to win, both sides created chances, and in the end, a draw is fair.”

Juventus coach Tudor defends substitutes: ‘They were tired’

The coach explained his changes in attack, noting the fatigue in his front line.

“Yildiz, Conceição and David were tired – they’ve played so much. We tried to finish with more cover and energy.”

Centre-back Bremer continues to recover from his injury that kept him out for a large chunk of last season. The defender has featured for the Bianconeri this season but Tudor has chosen not to take any risks on the Brazilian.

“He felt some discomfort and we didn’t want to risk him. After the break, he’ll be fine.”

Looking at the bigger picture, after a disappointing run of draws, Tudor urged focus:

“With two more goals, we’d have two more wins. That’s football. We have to keep working – we’ll always be on track.”
