Charles Montgomery

Charles Montgomery has vast experience covering college athletics after he served as the sports editor at The Daily Athenaeum, West Virginia University’s student newspaper, for nearly two years. In his time as sports editor, Charles covered the men’s basketball team’s 2021 NCAA Tournament appearance in Indianapolis, the West Virginia football team during the COVID-19 pandemic and he won an award from the West Virginia Press Association for his reporting on name, image and likeness deals among WVU athletes. Charles has a love for sports at any level, but especially college basketball and the NFL. Despite growing up in Alabama, Charles has always supported the Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers while also following the Oakland Athletics.
