As the Calgary Stampeders prepare for free agency, the team is looking to save money wherever they can. The team turned to quarterback Jake Maier for assistance. Both sides agreed this week on a reworked contract for the 2024 season. The deal includes Maier receiving a $150,000 signing bonus and his base salary dropping by $55,000. He could receive $1,000 if he's an All-Star and $3,000 for winning CFL's Most Outstanding Player.
