The Southland Conference announced on Saturday afternoon that it has suspended an umpire for an egregious game-ending, third strike call on Friday night that went viral.

The incident happened at the end of New Orleans' 7-3 win over Mississippi Valley State after Davon Mims aggressively disagreed with a strike two call in his at-bat.
The very next pitch was not only well outside, but also low and nearly ended up in the opposite batters box. Despite that Mims was still called out on strikes even though the pitch was nowhere near the zone.
Have a look at it.

Umpires never like it when players show them up, but they still have to try and remain some sort of professionalism. This umpire clearly did not and is facing the consequences for it.
