NBA Fans React After Bronny James Appears To Hit His Head During Run To Locker Room
Patrick Breen/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Bronny James' latest game for the USC Trojans gave us our latest glimpse at his star potential, but he went viral for a different reason on Saturday night. At some point before the game, as he was making his way back to the tunnel, Bronny was caught clipping his head on the ceiling as he was landing from a jump. No injuries were reported tonight, but it certainly didn't look good for the rising basketball star.

Some fans joked that Bronny is still trying to grow accustomed to his "powers" as he grows into his supernatural basketball skills.

No matter the reasoning for his blunder, the fact that Bronny can even reach that height is a flex of his natural athleticism.

All-in-all, Bronny had a modest night, finishing with 7 points, shooting 3-6 from the field and 1-2 from beyond the arc in 25 minutes. Sadly, it was a loss for USC, which set them down to 8-11 on the season and 11th in the Conference standings. There is still hope that the Trojans can turn their season around and make some noise this season, but all eyes will be on Bronny and how his game develops as he gets closer to the draft. Through 10 games this season, he's averaging 5.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game on 36.8% shooting.

Scary Summer For Bronny

As the heir to the James family legacy, Bronny came into this season with ultra-high expectations. When he committed to USC last year, it was a national story and it caught the basketball world by storm. Just weeks later, however, Bronny would undergo a different scenario as he experienced the biggest health scare of his young career so far. In what was later attributed to a "congenital heart defect" Bronny collapsed on the court and was in full cardiac arrest.

Fortunately, Bronny got the proper treatment and has since made a full recovery. He was able to resume basketball activities earlier this season and re-joined the Trojans for his season debut on December 10th. Considering where this guy was just a few months ago, you have to give him credit for how he's recovered and bounced back from a scary situation. Now all that's left for him to do is make another leap and prove to everyone that he can be successful in the NBA.

Will Lakers Draft Bronny?

Scouts are still mixed on how Bronny stacks up to the rest of his class but most can agree that he'll fall somewhere between the mid-first found and early second-round. While he shows a great feel for the game Bronny is shorter than his father at 6'4" and he doesn't have the same strength he did as a freight train coming to the rim. Even so, LeBron believes that he can help the Lakers and they might be inclined to agree when the Draft arrives this July.

By drafting Bronny, the Lakers could try their luck at another young shooter while also keeping their franchise guy happy alongside his son for years to come. It would be a dream scenario for LeBron and the Lakers but not one that's in their control. Only time will tell how where Bronny ends up but wherever he goes, his father is sure to follow.
