The UNLV baseball team (16-15) started their two-game series against Utah Tech (8-23) on Tuesday night. Isaac Rodriguez completed the come back by hitting a double in the bottom of the ninth for the walk-off win on a final score of 6-5.

Utah Tech jumped out first by scoring the first three runs in the top of the second inning off two RBI singles.  Ryan Charles kept UNLV close early, he hit a sacrifice lineout that was able to score Rodriguez. Charles continued the scoring with a RBI double to right field in the bottom of the fifth, to score Santino Panaro from first base. Still trailing the Trailblazers 3-2, Brendan O’Sulivan hit his fifth home run of the season. The blast over the left-field wall to give the Rebels their first lead of the game at 4-3. Utah Tech responded in the next inning by scoring two runs the 5-4 lead.

Heading into the bottom of the ninth inning trailing Utah Tech. Panaro singled through the third baseman that brought runners on the corners with one out in the inning. Rodriguez stepped to the plate and crushed the ball into the gap between the center and right fielder, allowing Panaro to cross home plate to complete the comeback.
