5-Star College Basketball Recruit Eyes Major Kansas Move

Five-star forward Toni Bryant didn’t suit up this weekend during the Puma Pro 16 Circuit — but that doesn’t mean the recruiting buzz has cooled off.

The 6-foot-10 forward out of Florida, ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 3 among power forwards in the 2026 class by 247Sports, is drawing major attention from college basketball’s blue bloods.

Though he’s already taken official visits to Boston College and Cal, Bryant told On3’s Jamie Shaw that Kansas and Missouri are firmly in the mix for his next visits.

It’s not hard to see why the Jayhawks would be a draw.

Despite a rocky 2024–25 season — a 21-13 finish that ended with a stunning first-round NCAA Tournament exit — Bill Self’s program remains one of the premier destinations in college hoops.

Kansas started the year as the preseason No. 1, but injuries and chemistry issues derailed the campaign.

Help is on the way in the form of 2025 five-star Darryn Peterson, but the Jayhawks are clearly looking to reload quickly.

Bryant, with his size, skill, and defensive upside, could be a centerpiece in that future rebuild.

The standout forward has been selective about his visits, and skipping this weekend’s event is reportedly part of his prep for next week’s live evaluation period — a stretch that could vault his stock even higher.

For now, all eyes are on whether Kansas can lock in an official visit from Bryant.

If they do, it could be a key step in restoring the Jayhawks to title contention.
