Alabama Guard Jaden Bradley Enters Transfer Portal

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama point guard Jaden Bradley has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal after one season in Tuscaloosa.

Bradley is the second Crimson Tide player to enter the portal since its season ended in the Sweet 16, joining guard Nimari Burnett.

A 6-foot-3 native of Rochester, New York, Bradley was a 5-star recruit and McDonald's All-American in the Class of 2022. 

Bradley appeared in all 37 games for Alabama as a freshman and started in 22 of them. He first slid into a starting role against Memphis on Dec. 13 following Burnett's injury, and held a starting spot for the remainder of the regular season before being supplanted by SEC Co-Sixth Man of the Year Jahvon Quinerly in the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.

Bradley averaged a modest 6.4 points per game, but ranked second on the team in assists with 3.1 per contest. He scored in double figures 11 times during the season, but never scored more than six points over the team's final 12 games, going scoreless six times.

There will be plenty of suitors for Bradley in the portal as his talent is undeniable. He's showcased flashes of impeccable finishing ability though it wasn't always consistent, and he has the potential to be an excellent perimeter defender.

The biggest area of Bradley's game that needs work is his 3-point shot, as he shot just 22 attempts from beyond the arc this season.

With Bradley's departure, Alabama will have more room for potential incoming transfers to pair with a 3-man signing class coming in this summer.
