Hayward's heroics led the Cinderella Butler Bulldogs to the title game against Duke, but he struggled for most of the night. Down two points with 3.6 seconds left, Hayward gathered a rebound on a missed Duke free throw and heaved a half-court shot, but it was just long, bouncing off the backboard and rim, as the Blue Devils escaped with a national championship. Even though the shot was missed, it's perhaps the most memorable part of a great college career from Hayward. He went ninth overall in the 2010 NBA Draft to Utah and signed with the Boston Celtics in free agency in 2017.

It capped off a brilliant run for Griffin, who averaged 25.8 points and 16.5 rebounds in the tournament. He was selected first overall by the Clippers in the draft, and the perennial All-Star was traded to the Pistons last season.
