During the narrow Wisconsin basketball victory over the Maryland Terrapins, dynamic guard AJ Storr threw down one of the best Wisconsin dunks.
AJ Storr, the transfer guard from St. Johns, has been an electric scorer for the Badgers and continues to be a major key to the success of the team. In the win over Maryland, Storr contributed ten points and eight rebounds, but most notably threw down a dunk that made waves on Social Media. Storr flew through contact to slam home a highlight-reel dunk over a Terrapins defender.
During a difficult and sloppy game for the Badgers, nearly every player was responsible for an ugly play or two. While the guard might be the best player on the Wisconsin basketball squad this season, AJ Storr also had his fair share of tough moments against the Terrapins, including a pair of unforced turnovers. Storr also struggled from deep, missing his three attempts and sailing one wide.
While Storr had his struggles against the Terrapins, he also delivered one of the most memorable moments of the 2024 season. Storr received an outlet pass and sprinted down the sideline before charging towards the rim and slamming down a dunk over a Maryland defender. The crowd could not contain themselves after the dunk, nor could Social Media as many fans quickly branded the dunk as the “Best in Wisconsin History”.

If one thing is certain about the play of Storr this season for Wisconsin basketball, it is that the guard knows how to wake up the team and ignite the crowd.
After transferring over this past off-season, Storr quickly worked to establish himself as the heart of the Wisconsin basketball offense. The guard has done just that, averaging 16.3 points per game and adding 3.9 rebounds on 43.5% shooting. Storr has also shot 30.2% from long range for the Badgers as he averaged nearly two more three-point attempts per game than he did a season ago.
Storr has been a crucial part of the Badgers squad this season, particularly due to his speed and fearlessness when charging towards the basketball. The guard might put up a couple air-balls or blocked shots each game, but he also provides off-balanced long-range shots and electrifying dunks.
Earlier this season Wisconsin basketball managed to defeat the Hoosiers by 12 points behind a 26-point performance from Max Klesmit. Storr added 15-points as the Badgers held a steady lead over the Hoosiers for the entirety of the game. Wisconsin will need more of the same if they hope to take down the Hoosiers once again on February 27th, exclusively on Peacock.
