The USC basketball team has gone back to its losing ways recently as things have gone downhill again since their win against Oregon State. The Trojans recently lost a tough one against Stanford on the road, and the game was never even close. USC went down 99-68. The Trojans fell to 9-15 on the year with the loss. This season has not gone the way that anyone was expecting.

Andy Enfield brought in one of the best USC basketball recruiting classes of all time this past year, and his squad had high expectations because of it. Now, his Trojans are in last place in the Pac-12 in the middle of February. No one saw this coming, and Enfield is taking the blame for his team’s shortcomings.

It is disappointing,” Enfield said, according to an article from the Orange County Register. “And so that’s on us, on me as a head coach. We’re not going to start pointing fingers. We made some defensive mistakes, but every time we made one, they made us pay. That’s on us as a coaching staff, and players. We’re all in this together.”

It’s hard to say where USC should go from here. Nothing has been clicking for the Trojans this season, and with less than a month to go, there is no hope for the season to salvaged. Disappointing year for USC.
