The UConn Huskies men's basketball team has been riding the success of head coach Dan Hurley for the past several years.
UConn entered the postseason last year with hopes of winning their third straight national title, having won back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.
Despite a talented roster, the Huskies were unable to reach their ultimate goal and lost in the second round of the postseason.
As Hurley and the staff look to bounce back, college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein announced their official opening night game for next season.
The road to the next national title game will begin on Nov. 3 when the UConn Huskies face off against New Haven.

Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies finished last season with a 24-11 record and a 14-6 conference record in the Big East.
Throughout the past several seasons, during the Huskies' national title runs, they have courted some of the best players in the country, but they have continued to lose top talent like Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle.
The good news for Hurley is that he will be returning one of the top players in the Big East next season: Alex Karaban.
Karaban will be playing in his fourth season with the UConn Huskies. Last season at UConn, Karaban posted 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
The UConn Huskies will also be starring one of the best backcourts in the country with Solo Ball and Silas Demary Jr., a transfer from Georgia.
These stars will now be preparing for their first game of the 2025-26 season, facing New Haven in November.
