What the class of 2024 shooting guard is bringing to Baton Rouge

When taking a look at Vyctorius Miller as an overall basketball prospect, it’s not hard to see his upside as far as offensive ability goes. The AZ Compass Prep shooting guard can shoot from just about anywhere on the floor, and has some impressive ability to adjust mid-air around the rim.

As a senior this past season, the 6-foot-5, 170-pounder averaged 13.5 points and 1.8 steals per game in eight appearances for his high school, which included a 32-point outing vs. Skyline Prep.

While his totals won’t always pop from a stat sheet perspective, it’s his shooting percentages that truly standout and display his potential for the next level. Out of the 25 three-point shots he attempted during the 2023-24 season, he completed an impressive 48 percent, while making 55 percent of his attempts from within the arc.

While it might not be reasonable to expect much in terms of starting minutes with the Tigers during his freshman season, he certainly has the potential to come in and be an immediate scoring threat off the bench during the 2024-25 season.

Vyctorius Miller has officially joined a Tiger class of 2024 that includes two fellow four-star recruits (point guard Curtis Givens III and forward Robert Miller), as well as a big-time transfer portal addition in former Kansas State shooting guard Cam Carter.
