The 2025 NCAA Tournament is now underway. It began with four play-in games, two of which took place on Tuesday. The other two will take place on Wednesday.
Although the round of 64 has not started, many are scrambling to create the perfect bracket for their group challenges. This includes sports commentators like CBS Sports' Seth Davis, who has revealed his bracket.
In his predictions, Davis has made a few notable upsets. He anticipates that the No. 13 seed Yale (22-7) will defeat the No. 4 seed Texas A&M (22-10), and he believes that the No. 12 seed UC San Diego (30-4) will overcome the No. 5 seed Michigan (24-9). Furthermore, Davis has selected his Final Four participants.
He has three No. 1 seeds making the Final Four: the Duke Blue Devils (31-3), the Florida Gators (30-4) and the Houston Cougars (30-4). Additionally, he predicts that the No. 2 seed Michigan State Spartans (27-6) will defeat the No. 1 seed Auburn Tigers (28-5) to secure a spot in the Final Four.
Davis' bracket aligns closely with the odds projected by FanDuel Sportsbook. It includes all four No. 1 seeds, which are given the best chances to reach the Final Four. Among the No. 2 seeds, Michigan State holds the second-lowest odds. Duke is favored to win the national championship.
In Davis' predictions, Florida will defeat Michigan State, and Duke will beat Houston. This leads to Duke claiming the national championship over Florida, thereby securing its sixth national championship and tying with UConn and North Carolina for the third-most all-time championships.
The first round of 64 games will begin on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. ET on CBS. It will feature the No. 9 seed Creighton Bluejays (24-10) against the No. 8 seed Louisville Cardinals (27-7).
