Following a return to the Final Four, Duke is showing no signs of slowing down on the recruiting trail.
On Friday, four-star forward Sebastian Wilkins committed to the Blue Devils over Maryland, reclassifying to join the class of 2025 and enroll in Durham next season.
Previously ranked No. 31 in 2026, Wilkins will now finish as the No. 47 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, per 247Sports.
The 6-foot-8 wing brings length, switchability, and a modern skill set that has college scouts buzzing. “Wilkins came up the ranks as a forward who could put the ball on the floor at a young age,” 247Sports' Adam Finkelstein said. “Since then, he's developed his shooting range and extended his skill-set away from the basket while simultaneously making real gains defensively.”
A native of Georgia, Wilkins has steadily climbed national boards thanks to his two-way upside. With a 6-foot-10-plus wingspan, he's projected to guard multiple positions at the college level.
“Wilkins may not make a huge impact right away next year,” Finkelstein added, “but given the rapid progress he's made in the last two years, the hope is that he continues to ascend and evolves into an important two-way contributor.”
For Scheyer, Wilkins adds another chess piece to a roster already loaded with high-upside talent.
Duke’s projected 2025–26 lineup features a mix of elite freshmen and seasoned contributors.
With size, switchability, and depth across every position, the Blue Devils are built to contend for another Final Four run—this time with unfinished business fueling them.
His late reclass marks another strategic win for Scheyer, who’s piecing together a 2025 group built around versatility and athleticism.
