Alvaro Folgueiras is adding another big name to college basketball's transfer portal.

Over 500 men's basketball players entered the portal once it opened Monday. Many more players will likely pursue a change of scenery during the 30-day window.

That reportedly includes Folgueiras. According to ESPN's Jonathan Givony, the Robert Morris star entered the transfer portal on Tuesday morning.

After playing a limited role as a freshman, Folgueiras started 34 games for the Colonials in 2024-25. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 14.1 points per game on a 54.8 field-goal percentage and grabbed a team-leading 9.1 rebounds.

Folgueiras also proved an imposing defensive presence, averaging 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks. He was named Horizon League Player of the Year.

Robert Morris went 24-8 during the regular season before winning the Horizon League Tournament. The Colonials matched a program record for single-season wins and made their first NCAA tournament in 10 years.

Folgueiras posted 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in Friday's first-round matchup against No. 2 Alabama. The No. 15 Colonials gave the Crimson Tide all they could handle in a 90-81 loss at Rocket Arena.

"This is the best RMU team ever assembled," Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole said after his team's elimination. "What they accomplished—tying the program record for wins, winning the Horizon League regular season championship, winning the postseason tournament, and then coming in as a 15-seed and going toe-to-toe with Alabama—I think this is the greatest team in RMU history."

Unfortunately for Toole, his roster will likely look much different next season.

Folgueiras isn't the only RMU star exploring other options. Starting guard Amarion Dickerson also entered the portal after tallying 25 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and two blocks against Alabama.

"Thank you, Robert Morris University, for an unforgettable journey! I'm beyond grateful for Coach Andy Toole, the entire athletic department, and the amazing Bobby Mo fans for their support," Dickerson wrote in an announcement posted Monday on social media. "Together, we made history, and every moment will stay with me forever."
