Louisville men's basketball walk-on Patrick Antonelli had quite a memorable experience on Wednesday, scoring the first points of his Division I collegiate career while his Hall-of-Fame mom called the game.

Antonelli checked in during the closing minutes of his team's blowout win over Indiana, then seconds later was fouled and sent to the free-throw line. Antonelli hit both of his free throws, giving him the first points of his Division I career.

Louisville went on to win 89-61, sending them to the semifinal of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas.

Patrick's mother is Debbie Antonelli, a former Louisville star and member of both the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. She was in the booth calling the game for ESPN when Patrick checked in.

Debbie said she was happy to see her son capping off his college basketball career with a good program filled with good players.

“All I care about is him being around good guys and being around a good coaching staff and that’s what he’s got,” Debbie Antonelli said while Patrick was checking into the game, via USA Today.

Antonelli spent the first four years of his collegiate career playing for Emory & Henry, a Division II college, but transferred to Louisville for his final season and earned a spot on the team as a walk-on.

“It has always been my dream to be on the team at Louisville since I was a little kid and Coach Kelsey has allowed me to accomplish this dream," Antonelli said in his official team bio.
