Cooper Flagg Has Declared For 2025 NBA Draft, Raptors Odds To Land Him

In his freshman year, Flagg led the Blue Devils to a 35-4 record and a Final Four appearance. He was also named the John R. Wooden Award winner, the AP National Player of the Year, and earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 48 percent from the field, 39 percent from three. He came up big in the NCAA Tournament when it mattered the most.

The announcement puts to rest any doubt there was that Flagg wasn’t going to declare for his year’s draft. In February, Flagg said he was leaning toward returning to Duke for his sophomore year, however that won’t be the case now.

The NBA Draft Lottery is set for May 12 and the Toronto Raptors will have a chance to land Flagg.

Toronto currently holds the seventh-best odds, which gives them 7.5 percent chance at landing the No. 1 pick and a 31.9 percent chance of moving into the top-4.

Flagg is a generational prospect and he will instantly transform any team’s future. He has tremendous two-way versatility and has all of the tools to be a future great player.

The Raptors will have their fingers crossed now until then. If they get lucky, they could wind up with a cornerstone talent going into next season.
