Cooper Flagg’s Mom Gets Big News After Duke’s Final Four Loss

The No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils entered the 2025 NCAA Tournament with high hopes.

Duke was a popular pick to be the national champions, and a big reason was star freshman Cooper Flagg

Before the Final Four, Cooper Flagg's mom, Kelly, revealed she would get a tattoo if Duke won the title.

"We will get a tattoo to commemorate,” Kelly Flagg stated. “I’ll get a tattoo anywhere. He can pick the spot — except my face — if they do what they need to do.”

Well, in some good news for Kelly, that tattoo plan won't be taking place.

On Saturday night, Duke lost to No. 1 Houston, 70-67, in a brutal collapse.

It was a stunning twist. With just over eight minutes left, Duke had a 14-point lead.

Then, Houston roared back to cap off the fifth-largest comeback in Final Four history, per ESPN.

Cooper Flagg led the way with 27 points, seven rebounds and three blocks despite the collapse by Duke.

But Houston was too much down the stretch, and Cooper Flagg and Duke fall short of a national title game.

For Kelly Flagg, that means no tattoo, which is probably a bit of a relief, although she wanted to see her son cut down the nets.
