Addison Wells Morrison, a standout women's basketball player at Mead High School and the daughter of Gonzaga basketball legend Adam Morrison, announced a verbal commitment to join the Idaho Vandals via Instagram on Tuesday evening.
The 6'0 junior forward will head to Moscow in 2026 to join a Vandals program that went 18-12 last season under first year head coach Arthur Moreira in the Big Sky conference.
Morrison helped lead the Mead Panthers to a fourth straight WIAA state tournament appearance this past season, and she was a key contributor to the squad that lost to Garfield in the Class 3A championship game back in 2024.

Morrison's father Adam also starred at Mead high school before committing to join Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs ahead of the 2003-04 season.
He went on to earn the Wooden Award and consensus All-American recognition as a junior in the 2005-06 season, averaging 28.1 points per game and taking the nation by storm with his floppy hair and mustache, emotional play on the court, and rivalry with fellow All-American JJ Redick from Duke.
Morrison spent parts of four seasons in the NBA, winning a pair of championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, and now he's the color commentator alongside Tom Hudson covering Gonzaga men's basketball games on the radio.
He won't have to travel far to see his daughter in action when the 2026-27 season rolls around, although fans certainly would have liked to see Morrison get a chance to follow in her dad's footsteps by staying in Spokane and playing for coach Lisa Fortier and the Gonzaga women's basketball team.
