Drake transfer guard Kevin Overton has cut his list down to six schools, he told On3 Sports on Thursday. Overton is considering Colorado State, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Overton (6-foot-5) completed his first season with Drake being named to the Missouri Valley All-Freshman Team. Overton recorded 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 35 games. Overton shot 44% from the field and 35% from three. Overton’s season-high was 23 points vs. Murray State in February.

Overton, a freshman, has three years of eligibility remaining.

Overton has heard from Cal, Colorado State, Kansas State, LSU, Memphis, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, West Virginia and others since entering the transfer portal in March. Overton has already visited Oklahoma and is planning a visit to Texas Tech.

WVU has landed one transfer commitment in Tucker DeVries so far this offseason losing Josiah Harris (F), Seth Wilson (G), Patrick Suemnick (F) and Kerr Kriisa (G) so far. WVU also has a high school commitment from former Drake signee KJ Tenner.
