The Duke Blue Devils and head coach Jon Scheyer are looking to work their way back to winning another national championship. Last season, the team made a run to the Final Four before being eliminated by the Houston Cougars.
Unfortunately, the Blue Devils lost a lot of talent to the NBA.
Among the players who left school were Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Sion James, and Tyrese Proctor. All five players were key pieces, with Flagg being arguably the best player in the entire country
Replacing those players won't be easy, although Duke does have an epic 2025 recruiting class.
While the 2025 recruiting class will bring in a lot of talent, the Blue Devils will have to continue cycling through players. To that end, Scheyer spent this Saturday taking a look at an elite five-star prospect in the 2028 recruiting class.
As shared by Overtime on X, Scheyer was in attendance to watch Colton Hiller, an ESPN five-star recruit in the 2028 class, who hails from Coatesville High School in Pennsylvania.

Hiller is still a few years out from making the leap to college basketball. Scheyer clearly has enough interest in him that he's getting ahead of the game in recruiting him.
Standing in at 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, Hiller has received interest from quite a few other schools. Among the most notable teams interested are Villanova, Syrcause, and Penn State.
It's too early to know what Hiller is going to be when he's a senior, but he looks the part of a potential star. Scheyer setting the tone early with the young wing is a wise decision that could pay off down the road.
