Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils will have a target on their backs heading into the 2025-26 season. While they fell short of winning the NCAA Tournament title, they notched 31 wins and dominated as ACC champions.
Reaching the Final Four re-established Duke as one of college basketball’s elite programs. Now, with several top players leaving the roster, Scheyer and his staff are working hard this offseason to reload the talent pool in Durham.
On Thursday afternoon, rising prospect Kohl Rosario announced on social media to a major update on his recruitment. He confirmed that the Blue Devils are making a strong push to bring him to Durham as part of the class of 2026.
"Blessed to receive an offer from @DukeMBB. Thank you to Coach Scheyer, Coach Dildy and the coaching staff. #GoBlueDevils," Rosario posted.

Rosario is a 6-foot-5 combo guard from Moravian Prep in Hudson, North Carolina. He’s currently listed as a four-star recruit and has been climbing the rankings thanks to his recent performances. Just this week, he received offers from both North Carolina and Kansas, with the Jayhawks extending their offer on Tuesday.
His rise has been fueled by impressive showings on the AAU circuit, including a standout 30-point game in the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament.
Rosario plans to continue refining his game over the summer and hopes to make a college decision by fall. Speaking with 247 Sports, he shared insight into his recruitment process:
"We're planning some visits, but we just need to narrow the schools down," he said. "For the fall, we've got plans to see Tennessee, Baylor, Oregon and South Carolina...In the fall, I want to see schools early to see some games. But, I want to have my decision made early. So, I have the season to play and to know where I'm going."
Duke is also targeting a few other top names in the 2026 class, including St. John Bosco point guard Brandon McCoy and power forward Christian Collins.
