Duke roared back to prominence in 2024-25 under third-year head coach Jon Scheyer, finishing a 35-4 overall and 19-1 in ACC play to claim the regular-season crown.
The Blue Devils won the ACC Tournament before going on a deep NCAA run, ultimately reaching the Final Four for the first time since 2022.
While Duke rode its young nucleus to glory, their entire starting five of Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Tyrese Proctor and Sion James have all since turned pro or moved on from the program.
As the Blue Devils look to replenish their perimeter scoring in the wake of these massive departures, HS Top Recruiting reported on X that Duke has been in contact with 2026 four-star recruit Kohl Rosario.

A 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard out of Moravian Prep in Hudson, North Carolina, Rosario is ranked the No. 14 shooting guard and No. 97 overall recruit in the nation by the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 3 prospect in his home state.
At Session 2 of Nike EYBL, Rosario exploded for 28 points (6-for-8 from three) in one session and 19 in another.
Over the spring circuit, he’s consistently drawn high-major attention, picking up interest and offers from Tennessee, Baylor, BYU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida State.
Scheyer has already brought in five-star forward Cameron Boozer, joined by his twin brother Cayden, heralded big man Iffy Ufochukwu, and recently-committed four-star center Dame Sarr.
Binding another top-100 prospect in Rosario to Durham would continue Duke’s streak of four-star success stories.
