Emotion pours out of Danny Wolf’s brother, entire family after 2025 NBA Draft selection

“I have the two greatest brothers in the world, I have an unbelievable sister, who I love,” Wolf said. “They all helped me get to where I’m at today and they’re going to help me get to where I’m gonna go in this league.”

Wolf put together an impressive season at Michigan in 2024-25 after transferring from Yale. He helped lead the Wolverines to a run through the NCAA Tournament as he averaged a team-high 9.7 rebounds per game to go with 13.2 points, 3.2 steals and 1.4 blocks.

Those numbers helped Wolf earn an invitation to the NBA Draft, although he waited to hear his name called. Finally, the Brooklyn Nets ended his slide, adding to a huge draft class with five first-round picks on Wednesday.

The ability to shoot and pass from the top of the key give immense offensive value, even if rim protector of guarding in space will never be his strength on defense.”

Prior to his arrival at Michigan, Wolf spent two years at Yale and had his biggest year as a sophomore in 2023-24. He averaged 14.1 points and 9.7 rebounds while adding 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steal per game. He also played a key role in the Bulldogs’ upset win over Auburn in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, putting up 13 points and five rebounds to help engineer the 78-76 victory.
