Longtime college basketball star Hunter Dickinson shared an update on his career Wednesday that earned a round of applause from his fans.

Dickinson started his career at Michigan in 2020 before eventually transferring over to Kansas in 2023. He earned All-Big Ten honors during all three seasons with the Wolverines, averaging 17.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

It didn't take long for Dickinson to have success with the Jayhawks. Not only was he named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2024, he earned a spot on the All-American team.

Towards the end of Dickinson's career, fans mocked him for spending five years in college. Internet trolls would tell him to get on LinkedIn after every game regardless if Kansas won or lost.

Believe it or not, Dickinson heard their complaints.

On Wednesday afternoon, Dickinson announced that he's officially partnering with LinkedIn. He shared an ad on social media along with this message: "@ the haters this one is for you."

In the video that Dickinson recorded for LinkedIn, he poked fun at his college career.

"Over 2,800 points, 1,500 rebounds and seven years of college eligibility, the NIL money has dried up," Dickinson said. "So I ended my career by doing what any other athlete would do, I got on LinkedIn."

Even though Dickinson has partnered with LinkedIn, he's not giving up on his dreams of playing in the NBA.

"I feel like I’m pretty confident in where I’m at," Dickinson told The Kansas City Star. "Obviously, this summer I’m going to put the pedal to the metal, try to grind and really get developed and try to put my best foot forward for the NBA and see what happens. Obviously there are a lot of different career paths I can go to."

Dickinson will have a chance to prove himself during the Summer League. For now, he's winning fans over with his sense of humor.
