High school basketball star Olivier Rioux committed to Florida last year, and the Montreal native has not stopped growing since.

Rioux, who plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., announced his commitment to Florida last November. He was 7-foot-6 then, and he has grown another three inches.

Rioux is listed at 7-foot-9 on the Gators’ official men’s basketball website. You have to see him in action to appreciate his stature truly:

Despite his incredible height (he holds the Guinness World record for tallest teenager in the world), Rioux is a 3-star prospect. Scouts have said he is a bit uncoordinated and does not have great footwork, which is hardly surprising for someone who was 6-foot-1 as an eight-year-old.

It remains to be seen if Rioux will dominate at the college level, but we can say that he will certainly tower over all of his opponents.
