The Florida Gators and head coach Todd Golden went on a national championship run during the 2024-25 college basketball season. While the run was unforgettable, all attention has shifted to trying to do it again during the 2025-26 campaign.

In order to win a second straight championship, Florida will need to add more talent. Golden is losing key pieces from last year's team.

Walter Clayton Jr., who was the headline name for the Gators during the tournament, is likely leaving in the 2025 NBA draft. Alijah Martin, Will Richard, and Denzel Aberdeen all left as well. Sam Alexia and Kajus Kublickas also entered the portal.

Golden has been working to replace those players. On Sunday, some intriguing news dropped about Florida and a transfer player they're interested in with ties to John Calipari.

According to a report from Joe Tipton of On3 Sports, the Gators are visiting with Arkansas Razorbacks transfer Boogie Fland on Monday and Tuesday this week.

"Arkansas transfer Boogie Fland will take an official visit to the reigning national champs Florida on Monday and Tuesday, multiple sources tell @On3sports," he wrote.

Fland, who played a key role for Calipari and Arkansas as a freshman during the 2024-25 season, would be a big addition for Florida. He put up great production during his first college basketball season.

Throughout the course of the year, Fland averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game in 21 appearances. He made 18 starts, shooting 37.9% from the floor and 34% from 3-point distance.

Bringing Fland in would help replace the loss of Clayton and the other back-court pieces.
