Former Auburn wing Allen Flanigan commits to Ole Miss
USA TODAY Sports

A long-time Tiger has found a new home in the SEC.

Allen Flanigan, a four-year player for Auburn basketball, has officially transferred to Ole Miss, per his social media. Flanigan was slated to join the Rebels weeks ago when his father Wes Flanigan left the Auburn coaching staff to join Chris Beard at Ole Miss.

The six-foot-six wing broke out for the Tigers in 2020, starting all 27 games while averaging 14.3 points per game. He suffered an Achilles injury in the 2021 offseason and took a major dip in production after his return. A full offseason of recovery allowed Flanigan to improve his senior season at Auburn, becoming a double-digit scorer once again.

Auburn basketball went out into the transfer portal to fill the void Flanigan left at small forward, grabbing UAH transfer Chaney Johnson and JUCO product/former San Diego State wing Chad Baker-Mazara.
