Former Five-Star Harrison Ingram to Transfer from Stanford
USA TODAY Sports

On top of a ton of disappointment in Stanford AD Bernard Muir for retaining Jerod Haase after missing the tournament for the seventh straight year, Stanford fans are now seeing some roster attrition that has upset them.

Former five-star forward out of Dallas, Texas  Harrison Ingram took to social media on Tuesday to announce that he will be entering his name into the portal and looking to finish his career elsewhere.

The announcement marks  the fourth Cardinal player to enter the portal this offseason, joining Isa Silva, Jarvis Moss and Neal Begovich. Ingram is the first starter to leave from the 2022-23 roster, as Silva was a rotational player while Moss made 12 game appearances, and Begovich appeared in eight. Stanford is also expected to lose leading scorer Spencer Jones who has yet to declare whether he will return for an extra year, pursue the NBA Draft, or consider the portal but was honored during the senior day festivities.

Losing Ingram who averaged  10.5 points per game while being second in rebounding at 5.8, led the team with 3.7 assists in a facilitator role shows yet another mismanaged talent by Haase. Ingram started the 2022-23 season as a preseason All-Pac-12 First-Teamer but did not earn any honors following the season. He also really appeared to be hitting his stride down the stretch for Stanford, as he had double digit points in every game since February 5 while also grabbing a decent amount of boards.

Ingram ranked as the consensus No. 19 recruit in the nation, No. 6 small forward nationally and No. 2 recruit from Texas. He held over 25 offers from programs like  Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina,Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA and more.
