The Michigan State Spartans were halted on the road to a national title during the NCAA Tournament.
Under the leadership of head coach Tom Izzo, Michigan State made its way to the Elite Eight, where they eventually lost to Auburn.
Before falling at the hands of the Tigers, Michigan State defeated Ole Miss, New Mexico and Bryant.
One of their leading contributors all season has been guard Tre Holloman.
While he's grown on and off the court each season he has been at Michigan State, Holloman decided to enter the transfer portal after his third season with the Spartans.
According to college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein, Holloman has officially made his move. Holloman has committed to NC State and will now play under first-year head coach Will Wade, who's heading to the Wolfpack after making a coaching move from McNeese.

During his third season at Michigan State, Holloman averaged 9.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He posted 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists during his three-year career with the Spartans.
Last season, NC State boasted a 12-19 record. The Wolfpack were led by head coach Kevin Keatts, who was ultimately dismissed from the program amid struggles
Holloman will be a key piece to Wade's new squad in the ACC.
