Former Missouri Tigers basketball head coach Frank Haith has led a storied career, and the next chapter will take him to Aggieland, Texas A&M University announced Monday.

After 36 years of experience, Haith will join new Aggies head coach Bucky McMillan as an assistant for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He is making the move from the University of Texas, where he was an assistant under Rodney Terry for the last two seasons.

In his 18 seasons as a head coach, Haith racked up a career record of 343-237 (.591). He served as head coach at Miami (Fla.) for seven seasons (2004-11), added three at Missouri (2011-14) and spent eight seasons at Tulsa (2014-22).

Haith guided all three programs to the NCAA Tournament and earned either conference or district Coach of the Year honors at each. He propelled 10 of those teams to postseason play, including four NCAA Tournament appearances.

During his stint leading the Tigers, Haith compiled a record of 53–28 overall and 25–20 in conference play.

In his first season (2011–12), Haith led Mizzou to a 30–5 record, securing the Big 12 Tournament championship and earning national Coach of the Year honors from the Associated Press and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

However, in January 2016 - before NIL would alter the landscape of college athletics - the University of Missouri announced that all 23 wins from the 2013–14 season were vacated due to NCAA violations, including the provision of impermissible benefits to players. As a result, his official record at Mizzou stands at 53–28 compared to 76-28.

Haith joins an Aggie program that finished the 2024-25 season with a 23-11 (11-7) record and entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed before falling to the Michigan Wolverines in the Round of 32.
