Peja Stojakovic was one of the greatest NBA shooters of his generation. Now his son, five-star recruit Andrej Stojakovic, is trying to follow in his footsteps.
High-level basketball clearly runs in the Stojakovic bloodline, and the Stanford Cardinal are going to be the benefactors of that legacy.
It's being reported by 247Sports that Stojakovic, a top-25 recruit in the 2013 hoops class, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, is committed to playing basketball for Jerod Haase and the Cardinal.
“I ultimately chose Stanford because in my eyes it wasn’t just the best basketball decision for me but it was also the best academic, long-term decision of the four,” he told 247Sports. “I believe in the whole program from top to bottom and the whole coaching staff and their philosophy.”
Stojakovic is ranked as the No. 21 recruit nationally and the No. 4 small forward in his class. He joins combo-guard Kanaan Carlyle as the second five-star committed to Stanford in a recruiting class that's now ranked Top 25 nationally.

At 6-foot-6, 185 pounds, Andrej clearly has the smooth shooting touch of his father, who played in the NBA for 18 seasons, three of which saw him earn NBA All-Star honors when he was with the Sacramento Kings.
An All-NBA small forward in 2003-04, Stojakovic was a part of the 2011 NBA champion Dallas Mavericks.
