Former Oklahoma State Basketball Player Arrested in Las Vegas

On Sunday, October 1st, former Oklahoma State basketball player Kalib Boone was arrested for driving under the influence. He was involved in a car crash that took place on South Maryland Parkway at 3:20 a.m. 

Boone told police that he hadn't had anything to drink, but the officer who made the arrest alleges "the performance of his field sobriety test showed multiple signs of impairment." Boone is due back in court on February 7th.

The crash happened while Boone was driving southbound on South Maryland Parkway. He allegedly tried to merge into the left lane, but there was another car there, so he jerked the wheel and crashed his car. Boone told the officer that he had come from a bar called We All Scream on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. 

Kalib Boone played for four years at Oklahoma State before transferring to UNLV with his twin brother Keylan Boone, who also is a former Oklahoma State basketball player, although Keylan spent his last season at the University of the Pacific. 

In his four years at Oklahoma State, Kalib averaged 7.8 points per game, as well as 4.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists. He had a career field goal percentage of 59.2 percent. He started 63 games for the Cowboys.

The three-star prospect out of Tulsa, Oklahoma played well in January and February, averaging 14.1 points per game, as well as 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks during this stretch. However, in the month of March, his playing time significantly decreased. He didn't make a single start in March, and he averaged less than 14 minutes on the court.
