Former TCU center Ernest Udeh Jr. to be a big name to watch in the transfer portal

Ernest Udeh Jr. is going to be one of the bigger names to watch on the college basketball transfer portal.

Udeh was a junior this past season for TCU and averaged 6.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Those aren't superstar numbers, but in the right system and with the right coach, he's a center who could end up being very productive in his senior season.

Keep in mind, he played in just 26.6 minutes per game. Throughout the season, though, he recorded six double-doubles and had 10 games with 10-plus rebounds. He notched 16 points in a game twice — against Baylor and against UCF. TCU won both of those games, not surprisingly.

Udeh Jr. brings a ton of upside to the table wherever he ends up next. He was a former four-star recruit, ranked as the No. 7 center in the 2022 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Bill Self and Kansas out of high school and he played one season with the Jayhawks, though he averaged just 8.3 minutes per game as a freshman.
