Georgia Bulldogs 5-star plus QB commit Jared Curtis' new NIL details make him look like a steal

The Georgia Bulldogs are getting a discount deal for 2026 five-star plus quarterback commit Jared Curtis -- even if it doesn't look like it.

In a new report from On3's Pete Nakos, Curtis is set to make "north of $750,000" in his first season at Georgia next year.

Yes, that's a lot of money, but not compared to these other schools that are handing some of their top incoming freshmen recruits over $1 million.

It’s also a big win for Georgia, as he could have easily gone elsewhere for more money if he wanted to, but he chose the Bulldogs. That alone speaks volumes not just about the program, but about Curtis’s character as well.

This number will, however, change in Year 2, and then the two parties are expected to renegotiate ahead of Year 3. His earnings will go up or down depending on how well he performs during his first two seasons and if he earns the starting job.

Curtis, 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, originally committed to Georgia in 2024 but decided to explore other options before getting reeled back in. Per On3, Curtis is currently ranked as the No. 3 overall prospect in the class of 2026, the top quarterback in the country, and the No. 1 QB in Tennessee.
