Gonzaga has landed a key piece for its future with the commitment of 6-foot-10 forward/center Parker Jefferson. After taking an official visit to Spokane this week, Jefferson pledged to the Zags, giving Mark Few and his staff a skilled, high-upside big man to build with as they plan for the future of the frontcourt, with Graham Ike and Braden Huff likely both gone after the 2025-2026 season.
Jefferson, who recently completed his senior year at Inglewood High School in California, averaged over 16 points and 11 rebounds per game while adding more than two blocks a night. The Texas native, who previously played at Waxahachie High School before relocating to Southern California, earned All-Ocean League honors after posting double-doubles in more than half his games, including multiple 30-point efforts and even a triple-double.

Gonzaga’s staff, led by assistant coach Brian Michaelson, had been building a relationship with Jefferson since his recruitment as an underclassman. That foundation proved vital when Jefferson reopened his recruitment following his decommitment from Minnesota. The Bulldogs quickly emerged as the frontrunners, and Jefferson’s official visit sealed the deal.
“Gonzaga has a proven history of developing bigs for the NBA, and I feel like I fit what they’re looking for,” Jefferson told Athlon Sports during the recruiting process. “I know it’ll be a challenge coming in as a freshman, but that’s something I look forward to.”
Jefferson brings a well-rounded offensive game with soft touch around the basket, solid shooting mechanics that stretch out to the perimeter, and an advanced feel for the game. Though not known for explosive athleticism, his IQ, work ethic, and polish set him apart from many of his peers in the 2025 class.
His commitment comes at a time when Gonzaga’s roster includes returning starters Graham Ike and Braden Huff, along with sophomore center Ismaila Diagne. Jefferson won’t be asked to carry the frontcourt immediately, but he’s well-positioned to develop behind seasoned veterans before stepping into a larger role in the years ahead.
With Jefferson on board and fellow 2025 recruit Davis Fogle already signed, Gonzaga continues to quietly assemble a class full of high-character, high-upside players who align with the program’s culture and long-term vision.
