Highly-Coveted Transfer Forward Austin Rapp Visiting Oregon Ducks

Under coach Shanty Legans and the Portland Pilots out of the West Coast Conference, Rapp averaged 13.8 points on a 35.2 three-point percentage, 6.5 rebound, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game in his freshman campaign. He hit 83 total three-pointers, the second-most made by a freshman in 2024-25.

With his height almost reaching seven-foot, Rapp moves well off the ball and coming off screens for looks out on the perimeter. His mobility at his size allows him to score off the dribble similar to that of someone at the guard position.

Against Oregon in Eugene in 2024 non-conference play, Rapp finished with nine points on 3-for-8 three-point shooting, nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in the 80-70 overtime loss to the Ducks on Nov. 12.

Rapp was the West Coast Conference's Freshman of the Year along with being named to the Second Team All-Conference. He was second in scoring and first in both rebounds and blocks for the Pilots.

Oregon coach Dana Altman landed their first incoming transfer in Texas forward Devon Pryor over the weekend on March 29. The 6-7 sophomore forward 3.2 points for the Longhorns this past season.

Other names in the portal that the Ducks' coaching staff have reached out to are Louisville Cardinals junior guard Koren Johnson and Longwood Lancers sophomore guard Colby Garland. Support in the backcourt seems to be evident at this point of Altman's focus for the completion of the 2025-26 roster.
