
Lamar Wilkerson scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half as Indiana held off Washington 90-80 Sunday night in a Big Ten Conference game in Bloomington, Ind.
Tayton Conerway added 20 points, making all four of his 3-point attempts. Conor Enright scored 12 with nine assists and Trent Sisley had 10 points for the Hoosiers (11-3, 2-1 Big Ten).
Hannes Steinbach led five Huskies (9-5, 1-2) in double-digit scoring with 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Desmond Claude scored 18, Zoom Diallo had 16, Quimari Peterson had 13 and Bryson Tucker, a transfer from Indiana, scored 11.
After trailing by 12 at the intermission, the Huskies opened the second half with a 10-2 run to get within 54-50. Indiana responded with an 8-0 run, as Wilkerson and Sisley made back-to-back 3-pointers to regain control.
After the Hoosiers built their biggest lead at 78-63 with 7:59 left, Washington made another push with nine straight points.
A 3-pointer by Wilkerson snapped that streak and put Indiana up 81-72 with 3:59 to go. The Huskies never got within six the rest of the way.
Indiana shot 51.7% from the field (31 of 60), including 12 of 28 from 3-point range. The Huskies shot 45.6% (26 of 57) and were 6 of 21 from distance.
The Hoosiers led 52-40 after a frenetic first half.
Conerway made all five of his shots in the half, including four 3-pointers, for 18 points and Enright added 11 points.
The score was tied at 15-all after the opening four minutes, with the Hoosiers making their first five shots -- all from 3-point range.
The Huskies took a 22-17 lead on a 3-pointer by Peterson before Indiana responded with a 6-0 spurt.
Washington regained the lead on a driving layup by Peterson before the Hoosiers' Nick Dorn made a jumper and a three-point play to put Indiana ahead for good with another 7-0 run.
The Hoosiers extended their lead to 52-38 on a pull-up jumper by Tucker DeVries from the top of the key on a fast break with 1:42 left in the half.
The Hoosiers shot 66.7% in the half (18 of 27) despite leading scorer Wilkerson making just 1 of 6 attempts.
