Michigan Wolverines basketball coach Juwan Howard isn't going anywhere regardless of interest from NBA franchises.
The 47-year-old, who first made his name at the national level with the "Fab Five" during his playing days, took to Twitter Monday afternoon to announce that he's committed to guiding the Wolverines to a title.

Earlier in the day, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Howard was "gaining traction within front offices" looking for new coaches this summer.
ESPN Sources: A possible NBA coaching candidate whose name is gaining traction within front offices: Michigan coach Juwan Howard. Howard has an obviously strong resume as a player and later an assistant under Erik Spoelstra. He interviewed for Lakers, Cavs before taking UM job.

As noted by the official Big Ten website, Howard served as an assistant with the Miami Heat under Erik Spoelstra from September 2013 through the spring of 2019, when he signed a five-year contract with Michigan. Howard was also Miami's Summer League head coach in 2016 and the head coach for Team Africa in the NBA Africa Game 2018.
In his first year as coach of the Maize and Blue, Howard led Michigan to an overall record of 19-12 before the Big Ten and, subsequently, the NCAA canceled all postseason play due to the coronavirus pandemic.
