Former Kentucky guard Kerr Kriisa has received full clearance to participate in all basketball activities for Cincinnati’s 2025–26 season.

Bearcats head coach Wes Miller confirmed that Kriisa is fully recovered from a foot injury that sidelined him in December and is now cleared for practice, workouts, and competitive play.

Kriisa enters Cincinnati after stints at Arizona, West Virginia, and Kentucky. His most recent season at Kentucky ended early following the December injury, and he was granted a medical redshirt to preserve his final year of eligibility. The 6-foot-3 guard brings veteran experience and leadership to the Bearcats’ backcourt.

At Kentucky, Kriisa averaged 4.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 17.3 minutes across nine games before the injury. His prior season at West Virginia featured averages of 11.0 points and 4.7 assists, with a reliable 42.4 percent mark from three-point range.

Wes Miller praised Kriisa’s high basketball IQ, competitiveness, and familiarity with Big 12 opponents, highlighting that he’s expected to immediately impact the Bearcats’ offense. The timing is ideal, as Kriisa will have a full offseason to build chemistry with his new teammates under Miller’s system.

Cincinnati fans can now envision Kriisa setting a veteran tone alongside younger guards in the backcourt. His clearance comes at a pivotal moment as the Bearcats attempt to return to postseason play for the first time in years. Kriisa’s return adds depth, experience, and proven playmaking to challenge in one of the nation’s top conferences.

As training camp approaches, all systems are go for the Estonian guard’s Cincinnati debut. Keep an eye on how he orchestrates the Bearcats’ backcourt — his recovery and readiness could be the catalyst for a breakthrough season for Wes Miller’s crew.
